How to Clay Bar Car for a Perfect Finish

1. Wash the car thoroughly with a SRB Citrus Wash & Gloss S3 to remove any loose dirt and debris.

2. Take a small piece of the clay bar and knead it with your hands until it becomes soft and pliable, which makes it easier to mold and more effective at picking up contaminants.

3. Spray SRB clay bar lubricant S22 onto a small section of your car, which ensures the clay glides smoothly without scratching the car’s paint.

4. Gently rub the clay bar back and forth over the lubricated area. Continue the process until the clay bar moves smoothly. Don’t forget to check the clay bar regularly while you work.  If you see that it’s picking up dirt, fold and knead the clay to reveal a clean surface.

5. After finishing treating the whole car, water rinse to remove any remaining lubricant and contaminants.

6. Once the claying process is complete, apply a coat of wax, sealant, or ceramic coating to protect your freshly cleaned paint.
This is the final step which helps to lock in the shine and provides long-lasting protection.

Why Clay Bars Are Essential in Car Detailing Why Clay Bars Are Essential in Car Detailing
Feb .28.2025
Clay bars are indispensable in car detailing because they offer a thorough level of decontamination, unlike standard car washing methods. Car surfaces are constantly exposed to airborne contaminants such as dust, tree sap, industrial fallout, brake dust, and more. These particles cling to the paint and can slowly erode it over time if not removed.
